Research buildings are designed to be entered by the people who belong in them, which makes them hard to defend against people who merely look like they do. A physical penetration test answers the question directly: can an unauthorized person reach a lab, a records room, or a server area without being challenged?
Braav's testers work the way a real adversary would: tailgating behind badge-holders at lobby turnstiles, presenting as vendors or contractors at loading docks, working service corridors and freight elevators, and testing stairwells and after-hours doors. In lab buildings, we test whether escort policy and restricted-floor controls survive an ordinary busy morning.
Every test runs under written authorization with defined rules of engagement. The report documents each attempted entry, how far it went, and gives your team a prioritized fix list, from post orders and camera angles to hardware and escort policy.
For Boston-area clients we commonly test lab and research buildings, office towers, and campus facilities in Kendall Square, the Seaport, and along Route 128.
